Grandpa & Grandma Rees’ 60th Anniversary

On June 1, 2013 we celebrated my mother-in-law’s parents’ 60^th anniversary. Incidentally, there was no celebration of their 50^th anniversary because that is the day Kevin entered the MTC. So Glenda wanted to make sure that her parents’ day was special. The party was held at Jim and Glenda’s house, and most of the guests were members of Grandma and Grandpa Rees’ ward, plus some of their family members. Mostly it was just a get-together and chat and eat. It was kind of fun to celebrate with them and see really old pictures of both of them.

Moab Trip Day 4: May 19, 2013

On our last day in Moab we loaded up and headed out for one last ride. This time the trail was a four wheel drive road, but despite this the road was rather bumpy for the most part. It was a few miles up to Gemini Bridges and amazingly enough there were people biking up there. I thought that was amazing, but then there were all kinds of people of bikes in Moab. Once we got to the top, we hiked a little ways down to the arches. It was kind of weird to be on top of the arch, but it was a very cool vantage point.
