I know this is a little bit late, but I did mail it out prior to Christmas.This year was fun because we actually got quite a few Christmas cards and letters in return. Much better than our normal mail.

Merry Christmas!
Well, it’s time again for the annual Christmas newsletter
and cards. It seems like the last year has flown by.
We are currently still working at the same places as last
year. Megan continues to work as an RN in the well-baby nursery and NICU. It
has been a fun challenge to make the transition from taking care of adults and
newborns to exclusively babies, but she is loving work more than ever now.
Kevin is still at Discover Card, but he received a job promotion in May and is
currently a credit analyst (basically the person who lowers your credit limit
or suspends your account). Recently, he has started to apply for internal
promotions.
Megan enjoyed girls’ camp and youth conference. She grew to
love the girls as she served them. It was a great learning experience. However,
in September the Presidency was reorganized, so she was released and now
teaches the CTR 7 class. They are definitely a rambunctious bunch, but it is
fun to see them learn and grow.
The highlight of the year was a trip to Lithuania for our
one year anniversary. As we didn’t get to take a full-fledge honeymoon, this
also stood in for our honeymoon. It was interesting to see how different, yet
similar the culture was there. Kevin served his mission in Lithuania, so he was
able to act as a translator. The main attractions included various churches, a
few castles, and other museums. The weather was fabulous, and much better than
the Utah weather.
In the beginning of November we added a boxer, named Luna,
to our family. It has been an easy adjustment, as she is already house trained
and somewhat sane. She likes to go on walks and to play with her toys (a squishy
ball and a rope threaded through two tennis balls). She has been pretty good
when we leave her alone, but we have learned to keep the blinds in the living
room up and keep all bread off of the countertops. We still have our fish tank,
and the fish continue to entertain us with their territorial battles.
