First Deer Hunt

Kevin went on his first deer hunt last weekend, and it was successful. He only had two days, and it was supposed to start snowing on Monday, so my dad wanted to get done as quickly as possible. Plus, they were just hunting behind my parents' house, so they didn't have too much ground to cover. Anyways, forty-five minutes after they left the house they found a deer and Kevin shot it. It was small, but Kevin was mostly okay with that. At least he has lots of room for improvement. We are planning to eat the meat, so it is actually better that it was little because it won't be so tough.

Here is a picture of Kevin's "prize." If you can't tell he was thrilled about the whole photo shoot idea. A photo up on the mountain would have been better, but I chose to go to church rather than hunting since I didn't expect them to find a deer so quickly.
