Aurora

Last month, we decided that it would be a good time for a family vacation, so we (Kevin’s family minus his brother) went to Aurora for a weekend. Most of our activities revolved around four-wheeling, but we also spent a good part of Saturday morning playing with Jack and Brutus (Shane and Tiffany’s German Shorthairs). They don’t get as much attention now that Shane and Tiff are focusing on Milo, so they were ecstatic with all of the attention, especially Jack. Kevin played “Fetch” with him until he couldn’t run anymore. It was amazing how much more calmer he was after all of that running around. For a minute, I almost wanted a dog. J While we didn’t really do that much (especially since Kevin and I left early to get back for a football game), it was fun just to relax and get to know his family better.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get very many pictures, but here is a picture of a toad that Kevin found stranded in one of the window wells. There were a ton of toads around, and for some reason they kept falling into window wells. I think Kevin relished the opportunity to save them.
