Our second anniversary was a little more low-key than our
first, but you can’t leave the country every year, unfortunately.
Since Kevin has moved down here, he has been intrigued by
the airplane museum at Hill Air Force Base. We both had the day off on our
anniversary, so we decided to check it out. I do have to say that it is much
bigger than it appears from the freeway, and they have a ton of planes and
other military warcraft, ranging from the turn of the 20th century
to now. Plus, they have exhibits on other aspects of the wars, such as the
Navajo Code Talkers and how life was on the base during WWII. It was quite
interesting. Here are some pictures (of the 80 Kevin took) of the museum.
We were planning on going to Tepanyaki for our anniversary
dinner, but we couldn’t find an open one in Davis County, so we went to Crowne
Burger instead. A bit different than our original plan, but yummy nevertheless.
Once we got back to Salt Lake, we decided to go to the Living Planet Aquarium.
They seemed to have more stuff since we last went, so we were able to see some
new exhibits. My favorites were the river otters and the South American Area.
Kevin drooled over the sting rays and arapima. For some reason, we did not take
the camera in, so unfortunately no pictures.
